Sometimes when we go through life-transitions, we start thinking about things beyond the ordinary everyday events of our lives. We might start asking questions like:
Why am I here?
Does life have any meaning?
Do I matter to anyone?
How can I know there is a God?
Is there anything after this life?
Since 1955, Mountain View Lutheran Church has been helping people in Thornton find answers to important questions like these.
We come from many different backgrounds for one purpose:
To love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
No church is perfect. We’re not. We don’t even try.
But what we do well is make people feel like they matter. Because they matter to God, they matter to us as well.
Here's a sample of what real people have said about Mountain View Lutheran Church:
"From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was at home!" Lou
"A couple weeks after I came, I called my Mom and told her the people of Mountain View really know how to make you feel like you matter." Kari
"I wish I'd found out about Mountain View sooner." Mike
We'd love to welcome you home, too.
The first Sunday of every month is a traditional liturgical service using the Lutheran Book of Worship. The second through fourth Sundays are blended services incorporating traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship music.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays of the month. All baptized Christians who confess Christ as personal Savior and Lord, and believe in the real presence of Christ in the elements are welcome to join us.
